Rexburg!

We decided to move our family (all 3 of us! haha) to Rexburg so that Jeff could go to school to become a teacher!  He has now completed his first week and so far is liking it.  I on the other had take much longer to adjust to anything!  I just need some friends to hang out with so that I do not go crazy.  Now that we are all settled in I will pretty much be on a friend hunt! I am hoping to really like this place - so hopefully we find some friends soon so that I can like it sooner!  I love my family and all....but sometimes me and Nixon need a break from each other and sometimes me and Jeff need a few more people so that our conversations stay exciting, and so that games last longer than a few minutes haha.
Anyways, here are a few pictures of us here in Rexburg!
In front of the Rexburg temple...VERY sunny and windy.

Tagged

I have been tagged to share a little about me!

4 shows I watch:
  1. 1. Grey's Anatomy
    2. One Tree Hill
    3. Big Bang theory
    4.Prison Break

4 things I’m passionate about:
  1. 1. Marriage
    2. Baby
    3. My digital studio
    4. My food appearance.

4 phrases I say a lot:
  1. 1. Just sayin'....
    2. "Want me to make him a bottle?" As Nixons' anger escalates while Jeff is trying to calm him down.
3. "Jeff its your turn to change his diaper."
4. ""Jeff do you want some?" (of whatever I have) His reply "no thanks" I have learned to use this as a tool because he will always say no - so I use it with the good stuff that I don't want to share! :)

4 things I have learned from the past:
  1. 1.  My mom had a the hardest full time job - raising us kids.  She couldn't even leave after 8 hours and get away from us! Literally FULL TIME and I am now learning that!
  2. 2. Although it may seem like it at the time, high school is not everything.  I hope I can convince my kids of this someday. (my sister in law Aimee wrote this - TOTALLY applies to me, but I am for sure learning now that I have Nixon)
    3. Things that are difficult are usually worth it - like loosing my baby weight....so difficult but once its gone it will be SO worth it!
    4. Life costs a lot more than anyone would like it to.

4 places I’d like to go:
  1. 1. Australia!!! I have wanted to forever!
  2. 2. On a cruise with Jeff.
  3. 3. Detroit to visit my brother Clayton and his Wife Aimee and their 3 kids Luke, Audrey and Max. (Max is 8 or 9 months old now and I haven't gotten to meet him yet!
  4. 4. The Calgary tower - born and raised in Calgary and I don't think I have even been the the base of the tower.

4 things I did yesterday:
  1. 1. Watched me some Prison Break.
  2. 2.  Made cupcakes for the Ladies I visit teach.
    3. Played with Nixon!
    4. Played cards with my In-laws!

4 things I look forward to:
  1. 1. A night with no one waking me up! Especially to crying.
    2.  Nixon crawling.

    2. A new king bedspread - we got one when we bought our bed in November and I already hate it.
    3.  To be a more patient person.
4. Me and Jeff to finish school.

Possible Work?!

I was trying to think of something I could do to make some money while working out of my home and most of all actually enjoy it!  When I was making Nixons' birth announcements I found my calling!  I love editing photos!!! I decided I should make invitations(weddings, anniversaries, birthdays, different types of showers), birth announcements, or even just picture collages, picture books, and calenders - all digital! When I made Nixons' I even took my own photos and people asked where I had gotten them taken at and I have always loved photography but its expensive, seems like everyone does it, and takes a while to build it all up. SO... I hope to start with this and maybe get to branch out a little into the photography aspect as well when I get some more experience with this.  I am so excited, I had people even ask me who did the birth announcements and so that was nice to hear that it looked professional! :)
Anyways here was the first one I did! (sorry that it pops up so small)

Cardston Temple

On January 22, 2011 - Jeff and I had the privilege of being sealed as a family in the Cardston Alberta Temple!  Only a week before our baby boy was born - so I am glad we did it when we did - that way all of our children will be born under the covenant.
As a keep sake we wanted a nice painting of the Cardston Temple.  Well if you ever look in LDS bookstores, temple paintings are really quite pricey! (as all paintings are)  We found a guy to paint it for us and we think he did an excellent job! Take a look yourself!

Nixon Paul Kenly

We had our baby boy on January 29, 2011 at 12:30am.
Weighing in at 7 pounds 10 ounces and 21 inches long.
We named him Nixon Paul Kenly!

Paul is my first boss' name.  I started working at Little Caesars when I was 13 I had the best boss in the world.  He was a good friend, and a father figure to me.  He was so kind, friendly, smart, funny, and so loving - characteristics that we hope Nixon will someday possess. Sadly Paul passed away in 2006 - so Jeff and Nixon will never get to meet him, but they will get to meet Pauls' wife and family - and they are so great too.

We have been so blessed to have this little boy come into our family.  He is so much fun, and is currently 9 weeks old - so he is smiling all of the time and get better at sleeping in the night which we are SO grateful for! We love the new addition to our family, and we could no longer  imagine life without him.

Expecting Baby Boy Kenly!

We are expecting our first baby in only 3 weeks!  We have everything ready for him once he decides to come out, and we cannot wait!  Life has been quite dull around here, but I am sure that little guy will get us both busy, and I would imagine quite tired for the first little bit!

Thanks to our friends and family to how prepared we are!

Jeffs parents got us an amazing crib!!!

The kid will have a different outfit and sleeper everyday until he is 6 months old! (those drawers are full!)

The Kenly swing that gets passed from kid to kid!
Our beautiful diaper Genie!
My mom has made the little fella a bassinet!
My mom gave me the mobile that went through most of her kids! haha
Baby blankets from Aunt Deb, Brita, Shelley and Cheryl, My parents and Jeffs parents!
Lets just say, he will be very comfortable especially for the first 6 months!

Being pregnant hasn't been the most fun, Jeff gets to go and do all of these fun things that aren't pregnancy safe like in the summer wake boarding, water skiing, and now snow boarding/skiing, sledding, pick up basketball.... not to mention he doesn't get morning sickness, or needles, or have to see the doctor all of the time!!!  My least favorite part of being pregnant is how HUGE I feel!  The tummy just gets in the way!
However, I am very grateful that we are blessed that we had no issues getting pregnant, and that we can have a little guy of our own!  I am excited to see what he looks like, and what traits he gets from both sides of the family.

We are waiting for you to come out little man! Don't feel that you have to wait until the very end! :)

Here was me at 29.5 weeks pregnant. See I am huge!
Here is the 2 of us going out to celebrate our one year anniversary!

Summer 2010

This summer it seemed like we were rarely home, which is a good thing!  Not only have we had to move 3 times these past 10 months, but we will be moving again in a few weeks.  We are so excited because we will actually be able to find things in our house.  We have been living in older couples homes "house sitting" for them, so things have been cluttered from our stuff plus their stuff, but that will soon come to an end, and we probably wont find the energy to move for a few years!
Anyways, some of our summer trips:

-Trips to the Hall Cabin! (apparently we snuck away from there with no pictures, even though we went numerous times!)

- Trip to Idaho - Kenly/Klassen Cabin!
This place was amazing, it was the families first time, and we had so much fun! I got to meet G&G Klassen again, this time was legit though, not just a thirty minute stop by the second week we had been dating, but an actual time to get to know each other a little better!
The house was HUGE!  All the beds in the house were King which was sooo much better to sleep in than a double like we currently have at home! There was an elevator, 2 kitchens, an awesome view of Cour D'elene lake, and i think there was like 4 dishwashers!
(pictures wont upload today)

-Kenly Family Reunion (Sept long weekend)
Lots of quadding, and just good time spent hanging out with the family!

- VEGAS TRIP!!!
We had soo much fun in Vegas, and yes we walked away with money in our pockets from the slots! We didn't gamble much (well especially me since I am not 21 yet) but on the last day we won 200$ just before we left for the airport!
We went to a show every night we were there, and even an afternoon one.  They were so much fun! Jeff got hypnotized... which was slightly embarrassing seeing as everyone around me knew I was with him haha! We have a DVD of it, if you ever want to see it!
We also went to Terry Fator he is a ventriloquist who mainly sings with his dummys, it was probably my favorite!  Tournament of kings was a good one too, it was a dinner and a show type deal from the midevil times, so we ate everything with our hands, and the show was good, they were jousting on horseback, and just lots of fun! Went to some Comedians, and a musical called Menopause... it was a lot of fun!
We decided to get each other our Christmas/anniversary gifts while we were there, I got a black pearl necklace, and Jeffrey got remote controlled airplanes!
All in all it was just a lot of fun, and we are excited to someday go back! Hopefully for my 21st birthday!

Among a lot of family outings, and reunions, we worked lots, and had fun with friends at the Waterton Damn.  Summer 2010 was a lot of fun, and we look forward to Summer 2011 with an our little addition to the family, expected to arrive Feb. 4th!!!
