.visitors.galore.

So recently we have been having a lot of visitors, its quite nice...gives us something exciting to do!

A few weekends ago Justin came to visit us on his way down to school.  One of the days we went to a place called the "riot zone". Jeff took Nixon in the go-kart with him it was pretty cute!!

This past weekend my Brother Brock came to visit!  We had lots of fun meeting new people, and just hangin' out!  This past weekend included fathers day!!! I got Jeff and Nixon matching ties in Jeffs' favorite color!!!

Nixon is very vocal...and sometimes its kinda whiny, but this was after like 10 minutes so it makes sense.

USA long weekend.

For the long weeked (last weekend in May) we went to Utah to see my Aunt Terry get married!  While we were there we stayed with Teralee and Jaime and had some wicked fun with them!  One of the days we went to boondocks its a place that has mini golf, arcade games, go-karts, bumper boats and bating cages!  We did a few of these things, and Jeff took a video of me and Teralee go-karting. It was SO much fun!

In my defence, I knew Jeff was taking pictures so I wanted me and Teralee to be side by side. I ended up in the lead of everyone at the very end! :)

Extreme Couponing.

Have you seen TLC's latest hit show extreme couponing? It is awesome!! People will go to the grocery store and their bill will be like $5,000.00 and after coupons and the stores reward program, it turns out to be only like $50.00!!! Well, I have started to get into this because for starters you can save a lot of money, plus it gives me something to do, and I enjoy the challenge.  Well, my most recent shopping adventure was one of my biggest ones ever, and for starting out I think I did pretty good!  If we didn't have to move, I would have stocked up more like extreme couponers do...but at the same time, I can find better deals than what I got, because people will get money back after some coupons!

Total Savings on the whole bill was 46% !!!!! woot woot!

I know its half of what the true extreme couponers save, but hey I didn't spend 40 hours on preparing this shopping trip! Also, one thing I learned....on the show they stand and make sure everything scans correctly..which I should have done because some things didn't scan right, and I only noticed after when I looked at the bill.  I have learned that now though, wont happen again!
Anyways, I was proud of my shopping trip savings!!

Crafts.

I decided I wanted Nixons' name in block letters, so I got them, and then I decided I no longer wanted them plain white...so I put designs on them!

I love making stuff like this! I feel a lot of crafty stuff looks a little more girly, so I am super excited for the day we have a little girl (if...fingers crossed!!!) I will make tons of fun stuff for her room, and cute clothes and hair accessories for her! Goodness, I cannot wait!!!!

Solids.

Nixons first attempt at eating solid foods....
I went to a W.I.C. class to learn about feeding Nixon solid foods.  The girl said Nixon was displaying every sign to start him on solids except for one. I decided, well I will go ahead and try it out, so...I did!

He did well, a lot came back out...but thats just classic baby.  He seemed to like it because when I went to give up (haha I know...) he was getting upset and did his own way of banging his fists on the bumbo tray haha it was hilarious!! Anyways, even though I was told not to (due to chocking hazards) I now give it to Nixon in a bottle with his formula. It is just so much easier, but when his official 6 month mark comes I will for sure be feeding him his solids right from the spoon. Plus, by this time we will have a larger apartment, so it wont be in the middle of our family room.

Anyways, Nixon is doing great, and growing fast! Our friends just had a baby probably 2 weeks ago now, and she is so TINY! I cannot remember Nixon ever being that small! He is smiling lots, has an awesome personality which everyone totally loves, and he is a little mover!  He absolutely loves his car seat, and will always nap in it, and is so great because I feel like he is in it more than he should be.  He enjoys our walks a lot.  At first he kicks his feet and laughs, and then usually on my way back, he is sound asleep...well I shouldn't say sound because he snoors!!

He got his immunizations, such a trooper! I liked how all 3 band-aids were different!

He is really into sucking on his fingers right now. He will stick them so far in that he starts to choke himself! Crazy little man! And every once in a while I find him sucking on his thumb.... I hope that doesn't take on at all!

Anyways, we love our little man, and his big blue eyes! :)
