A new year!

Alright, so since it is winter, work has been kind of slow and I am off track right now so no school, so I have been getting my craftiness out in me! I decided to make a Quiet Book for Nixon so that when we are in church, he can stop driving me bonkers in Sacrament meeting! I am kind of cheap and I want to finish it quick, so it will not be like the one I dream up in my head, but better than nothing!
I looked at buying one, and thought they were so boring, and expensive really for what you get. So far I have spent 4$ on my project, and I do not think I will have to spend anymore unless I decide to add more things into it.
Here are a few pictures of my book, I just started last night, so I still have a lot of work to do! The football is going to have a shoe string in it for learning how to tie bows and such!

A few pictures from before since I suck at keeping up with my blog. Here is Christmas! Below:

Here is our time at the cabin for a nice after Christmas get away!

Above: Me, Brita and my Mom! We went night skiing at Big Mountain, it was a blast!

Above: Nixon, just so cute!!

Down below is a present I got, a crepe maker, and me and Nixon making some crepes!

It has been so BLOODY COLD our door was freezing up inside... below...

Below: Out for some fun bowling and arcade we went with the Daylong's some very good friends of ours!

Below: Another picture showing how freaking cold its been!

Well with the cold upon us, and with no stress in my life currently, I am going to continue with some crafts and hopefully come out with some good stuff.

In recent news, if some of you did not know I got a new job! I work for Kartchner Homes and it is awesome, the guys I work with are great and it has been a very good opportunity.  It is slow being winter time and since it has been so cold it has slowed the projects we have down, and actually brought our commercial project to a halt for now.

We are excited that this is our last year in Rexburg, and we look forward to making the most of the cold and enjoying our time with our friends, because this time next year we will either be in Vegas or somewhere in Arizona doing Jeff's student teaching.  So here is to a great last year living it up in Rexburg!!!

  1. I think your quiet book pages are pretty cute. My sisters and I did one a few years ago. I never put mine into a book, but I just bring a few different pages to church with me each week and switch them with others so they don't get too bored. Where is it colder...Rexburg or Calgary? So glad you'll be going somewhere warmer next year...I hate cold!
