Summer 2015

This summer has been crazy!

Since Jeff is on a 12 month pay scale, we figured we should take a year and actually enjoy a summer! We saved up for months, and then left for the whole month of July for vacation! Well.... it wasn't as luxurious as I picture vacations to be, but we headed North for a whole month!

First we went to Coeur D'Alene Idaho where we had his family reunion. The kids loved seeing all of their cousins. We got to even meet Jacob for the first time, and have the 3 boy cousins who are all in between 8 months of age together to play.
Jeffs favorite activity while we were there was getting to go on the jetskis with his brothers. 5 of them went and had a blast. They did have the fish and wildlife cops called on them... but they are a bunch of boys so we didn't take that as much of a surprise. Of course no one was hurt, they were just being a little more rowdy than they should have been. Of course!
Nixon loved getting to be with Brayden every day. They went swimming, and to splash parks, played with squirt guns together and even some board games (thanks to Aunt Trish). That is Nixon's favorite memory of that family reunion.
Oakley followed me around everywhere. Everywhere. She was having a hard time adjusting to not being home and having things so different. She enjoyed the big splash park that they had in downtown Coeur D'Alene and the boat rides the most I would say.
I really enjoyed getting my massage! I had been napping and sleeping with Oakley a lot, and got a huge kink in my neck so it was MUCH needed and probably the best massage of my life. The table had a whole cut in the middle for pregnant ladies! It was AMAZING!
We enjoyed seeing the Kenly family, and of course enjoy the memories of bonding with them and being together. We got some awesome family photos taken while with the whole family. Here are our favorites from that trip.

We did Christmas in July with the Kenly's and Jeff and I made all of these poncho towels for the nieces and nephews!

The next leg of our trip we headed to Kalispell Montana to see some of my family. The weather was horrible this week we were there, but we still made some great memories together. We all loved Max's (my nephews) 5th birthday the most because we went out and played soccer and just had a lot of fun (and ice cream cake) that day! Here are a few photos from that leg of the venture!

The day Oakley got bangs!

Aunt Aimee keeping the kids entertained while we endured some rain.

Aunt Kristin got some new dog tents, Oakley thought they were just her size!

Next we headed to Canada. Here we were here there and everywhere!

Nixon got to take a stroll on Grandpas motor bike.

Oakley found this "cute" backpack and Costco. She wore it around the whole store, and wasn't too pleased to part with it....

In Hill Spring we met up with some great friends and they took us out to a creek where we plated for HOURS! Nixon loved this little rapid they had that he went down on a tube for a few hours again and again and again!

We hit up Wallys beach one day with Brityn! The kids loved it. Nixon was her little pal, they build sand castles together and floated. Nixon loved it!

Our kids traveled quite well. We put a lot of miles on the SUV, and we had them playing on the iPad, watching movies, and had lots of toys in the middle too. We got them their own headphones so that they could watch different movies, or hook up their TVs to play the same movie. Pretty lucky i'd say!

Nixon got pink headphones too... they were the only color they had left in the style we wanted.

West Edmonton mall!

Then we headed back to the USA for another week with my family! Much nicer weather this time! Nixon loved swimming in the middle of the night the most, Jeff enjoyed golfing with the boys the most, Oakley loved having Nikay and Sadies mermaids to play with, and I enjoyed chocolate milkshakes because they were the only thing that would keep me from throwing up!

Nixon knee boarded! We have had him go before, but this time it was legit all him. So proud of him! We even got Sadie (his cousin) to go as well. She only cried when she left the wake, Nixon however was scared the entire time, but still went again!

Oakley and grandma in their match swim cover ups!

Oakley was fearless on the paddle boards. She would climb all over, put her feet or hands in the water, and just had a great time. She loved getting to go with grandma!

We had a nice date night and went out for some Mexican!

On our way home we stopped in Idaho to see some friends. It was fun to catch up and meet their new little girl. Who really isn't new.... more like 7 months old..
We also stopped in Utah... but I apparently did not take any pictures. Suck!!

We are so glad to be back home! For the first week my 2 favorite things about being home were being able to sleep in my own comfy bed again and having my own toilet to throw up in. However, my nausea has been giving me some days off (knock on wood)! We got right back into the swing of things and even had a pool date already! Life is going pretty awesome!

Pool date with the Snows!
